Tease Me, Baby! – The World’s End
In 2005, Edgar Wright made his feature film debut with Shaun of the Dead, a self-proclaimed “Zombie-Rom-Com” penned by himself and Simon Pegg, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It simultaneously parodied and paid tribute to the Zombie genre while being a pretty kick-ass Zombie flick in itself. It became an instant classic. Two years later, Wright, Pegg, and Frost took on the buddy cop genre in Hot Fuzz. It also became a cult classic. This is … Read entire article »

Tease Me, Baby! – Ender’s Game
Friends, Doomites, countrymen and women and those of other countries as well, let us discuss Ender’s Game. I first read Ender’s Game about fifteen years ago. It was suggested by a friend and I had little to no expectations from it, as the two of us did not always share the same tastes in entertainment. Imagine my surprise then, when I got a story of a young boy who, in order to stop himself from … Read entire article »

Tease Me, Baby! – Thor: The Dark World
When Marvel‘s first phase of films were announced, the one film we were all a little skeptical of was Thor. He had the wildest back story. He was a god. He was known the least by the general public. So I would claim that’s a pretty … Read entire article »

Tease Me, Baby! – Man of Steel
Our beloved Sharpo reviewed the previous Man of Steel trailer with much gusto but this new (and most likely last) trailer falls within my domain. Muuuuhahahaha. Ahem. Yes. So anyway… A release date of June 14th means we don’t have much longer to wait to see this movie. With a stellar cast featuring Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, and Russel Crowe it has a lot of fire power in it’s tank but back … Read entire article »

Tease Me, Baby! – The Wolverine
I think it’s pretty unanimous that the last Wolverine movie sucked. We don’t have to skirt around it. With that settled, this follow up has a lot of work to do in order to both reclaim the brand’s respectability and also win over the audience it lost. The general likeability of Hugh Jackman is a plus. You can just tell that he really cares about the character and loves playing him. They’ve taken him to Japan … Read entire article »
