Cartoon All-Stars “Just Say No To Drugs”
Have you ever wanted to hear Alvin and the Chipmunks describe marijuana, Bugs Bunny say “joint”, Alf threaten to eat Garfield, or Michelangelo say “drugs, bud”? Then 1990’s Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue is the VHS video for you!
The whole thing is introduced by George and Barbara Bush. Their message is so important, Barbara felt the dog had to be present to emphasise their seriousness.
Some of my favourite parts are Winnie The Pooh waking up beside a little girl in bed like he’s some sort of pimp.
Arcades being portrayed like a strip club.
The Muppet Babies terrifyingly proclaiming “you’re about to take a trip through the human brain” on the creepiest roller-coaster alive.
By the time we get to Huey, Louie, and Dewey singing about how you should just say no, you think you’re at the end but oh no, we’re only half way there!
