Look, there are a lot of differences between the way the United States has decided to run things and the government practices espoused by the former USSR. I mean, we pride ourselves on the free will of our citizens to choose how they want to live, thus fueling a competitive, capitalistic economy. Maybe a little gets lost in the execution, but it is clear that our societal norms differ from those of a communist country by quite a bit.
This is just a way of saying that we are NOT in Soviet Russia.
