S.H.I.E.L.D. Exposed: “Among Us Hide…”

That title makes so much more sense now…

Among Us Hide… is essentially a 41 minute build up to a shocking twist but some shit happened so I might as well talk about it.

Fitz’s trepidation at rescuing Will is natural, especially after Hunter messes with his head a little but he’s still trying, bless him. This show is an exercise in puppy-kicking sometimes and it’s always Fitz who cops it.

Hunter’s immense fuck-up last episode surprisingly doesn’t end in an ass-kicking from May, but only because Coulson calls her off. He spends most of the episode redeeming himself through wacky shenanigans and that’s fine by me, Nick Blood has great comedic timing.

May, out of blood and with a boner for murder, drags Bobbi back into the field and while she has a little reservation to begin with, she’s back to bad-ass in no time. Interestingly; the new HYDRA head, Gideon Malick, is played by Powers Boothe who I only know as Gorilla Grodd/Red Tornado in the Justice League cartoon. So that’s something.

Meanwhile, Rosalind and Coulson are getting chummier and 50 year olds have no right being this cute. Okay, formalities out of the way, now for the major plot point.

What. The Actual. Fuck. Andrew is Lash? Fucking Andrew? We can guess how but why is he killing Inhumans? Why did he spare Skye? WHAT. I really didn’t see this coming and I bet a lot of other people didn’t either. I think May’s terrified face says it all and yes, May looked terrified. She didn’t look that scared when she thought Andrew was dying so… Just damn. What an interesting new wrinkle.
