<p>Our beloved Sharpo reviewed <a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/tease-me-baby/tease-me-baby-man-of-steel/" target="_blank">the previous Man of Steel trailer</a> with much gusto but this new (and most likely last) trailer falls within my domain. Muuuuhahahaha. Ahem. Yes. So anyway&#8230;</p>
<p>A release date of June 14th means we don&#8217;t have much longer to wait to see this movie. With a stellar cast featuring Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, and Russel Crowe it has a lot of fire power in it&#8217;s tank but back that up with <em><strong>300</strong></em> director Zack Snyder (who seems to be the film version of Marmite) and a story by <em><strong>The Dark Knight</strong></em>&#8216;s Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer&#8230; and suddenly this is a powerhouse of a movie.</p>
<p>With so many previous Superman films missing the mark, can <em><strong>Man of Steel</strong></em> break the mold?</p>

<h3>&#8211; The S stands for Space</h3>
<p>If I&#8217;m judging this right, they seem to be changing a significant part of the origin story (although, with DC, that&#8217;s not a big deal as they change those every second issue) by making Krypton destroy itself through war rather than a natural disaster.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Space1.png"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Space1.png" alt="The S stands for Space" width="525" height="219" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8159" /></a></p>
<p>Interesting. It gives Zod a slightly different meaning within the story but possibly an even stronger position so it&#8217;s not necessarily a wrong move.</p>
<h3>&#8211; The S stands for Shadow</h3>
<p>Another guess, but this seems to be Superman walking out of the Fortress of Solitude for the first time as Superman.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Shadow.png"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Shadow.png" alt="The S stands for Shadow" width="525" height="219" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8154" /></a></p>
<p>Say what you will about Snyder but the dude knows heroic shots.</p>
<h3>&#8211; The S stands for Smatrix</h3>
<p>Remember in the <em>Matrix</em> movies when Neo figures out how to fly? He does this crouch thingy which builds up all this energy and the boom! This is an EXACT copy of that maneuver. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Smatrix.png"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Smatrix.png" alt="The S stands for Smatrix" width="525" height="217" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8155" /></a></p>
<p>I only say this becuase the <em>Matrix</em> version is so distinctive it&#8217;s impossible to deny.</p>
<h3>&#8211; The S stands for Shouting</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m really looking forward to Michael Shannon in action as Zod. He&#8217;s such a great actor and is genuinely scary when he wants to be.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Shouting1.png"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Shouting1.png" alt="The S stands for Shouting" width="525" height="219" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8160" /></a></p>
<p>I hope he tells everyone to kneel.</p>
<h3>&#8211; The S stands for Specs-less</h3>
<p>So here&#8217;s an interesting thing I&#8217;ve noticed. No glasses on Clark. It may have been something that was announced or spoken about before but I didn&#8217;t realise it. We&#8217;re not getting the spectacled Clark Kent?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Specs-less.png"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/The-S-stands-for-Specs-less.png" alt="The S stands for Specs-less" width="525" height="213" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8157" /></a></p>
<p>What?! I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m cool with that.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>Overall: this is a genuinely inspiring trailer. It&#8217;s the first one I&#8217;ve seen that makes me want to pay money to see it in the cinema. Snyder, you may have converted another one.</p>
