<p>It&#8217;s Aaron back again, helping JJ get through the Advent Calender without losing his will to live. Mostly. I&#8217;m not entirely sure <a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/articles/the-advent-calender-of-doom-2012-day-9/">my last entry</a> had any sort of sanity related to it and this one is no different!</p>
<p>JJ has told me on many previous occasions that his favourite Christmas song ever ever ever ever is <strong><em>Fairytale of New York</em></strong> by <strong>The Pogues </strong>and <strong>Kirsty McColl</strong>. And sure, &#8217;tis a mighty song indeed. But it wasn&#8217;t the only version of that song that I grew up with.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/articles/the-advent-calender-of-doom-2012-day-14/attachment/dustin/" rel="attachment wp-att-7438"><img src="http://www.thewebsiteofdoom.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Dustin.png" alt="Dustin" width="269" height="202" class="alignright size-full wp-image-7438" /></a>Dustin The Turkey is a household name here in Ireland. Known as much as, if not more than, The Pogues themselves. He&#8217;s had a television career spanning 20 years and even represented us in the Eurovision song contest. He also can&#8217;t sing.</p>
<p>Dervla Kirwan is an actress. She also can&#8217;t sing.</p>
<p>Together they combined in 1997 to create a&#8230; memorable&#8230; version of the legendary song. And now, I get to share my pain.</p>
<p><iframe class="aligncenter" width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ojkWTseLkq0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Sorry JJ.</p>
