Hoo boy, where do I even begin?

How do I unpack this box of ‘holy shit’ without devolving into hyperactive marking-out so let’s take one point at a time, shall we?

The collapse of the Framework, a seemingly spiteful act on AIDA’s part, gives us a truly heartbreaking scene and I have to give kudos to both Henry Simmons and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Mack and Yo-Yo because it got me on a deeper level than I thought it could. Seeing the strong man-mountain suffer a horrendous emotional breakdown alongside the woman who needed it to happen to get him back is awful but utterly compelling to watch.

On the opposite end of the emotional spectrum, we had the rest of the team thwarting AIDA’s plans through snark and shady bullshit, which I loved! Between the sleight of hand with Jemma’s own LMD dying in her place or Coulson acquiring the Spirit of Vengeance! Oh shit! That’s both incredibly awesome and incredibly dangerous and the after-effects of Coulson’s ‘deal’ with it will probably be the focus of next season but from even my cursory knowledge of the Ghost Rider mythos, I can tell that it’s going to be bad news.

Then there’s Robbie and Daisy teaming up in a fantastic fight with The Superior (and some other jobber who has multiple LMDs despite us not knowing who he is) and performing a manoeuvre that should really have a name but I can’t think of one off the top of my head.

We finish out the arc on Radcliffe, the man who arguably started all this, as he sits upon a beach as the sun literally sets on the Framework. He muses about how his ambition and his hubris ultimately lead to his current fate, alone within a dying world of his own creation. He doesn’t get to finish his thought before disappearing in one of the most beautifully poignant shots of the show.

The team’s ultimate fate however is much less definitive as they are kidnapped during their meal (paralysed by a device very similar to the Sonic Taser that Obadiah Stane used in the original Iron Man movie) and taken away to parts unknown but we get a glimpse of where that is in the stinger.

Oh. OH. OHHHHHHHHHH BALLS. That’s not good, is it? Because unless next season will be called Agents of S.W.O.R.D. (and part of me really, really hopes that it will) that’s bad news for Coulson and, presumably, the rest of the team.

As a whole, Season 4 has been a rollercoaster of a season thanks to brilliant writing, amazing character development and expanding the MCU in a way that doesn’t feel forced and uninteresting. Multiple arcs with an overarching narrative seems to be the way to go for this show and I hope this continues. We won’t be seeing the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. until 2018, most likely allowing the Inhumans TV show room to breathe and will no doubt take that show’s place after it’s eight episode run in a mid-season premiere.

Would you guys be down for some Inhumans coverage? Let me know in the comments and I’ll see you all next year!

And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain…

We’re racing toward the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season four finale and what better way to build up some momentum than to have our primary antagonist achieve her goals and lose some of our main cast along the way?

Farewell, Cruel World! sees the end of the Framework arc, and while it’s been immensely enjoyable to watch, we needed to get back to the real world eventually and we finally get going on that plan. Daisy, Coulson, May, Simmons and Mack head off in search of Radcliffe’s backdoor (phrasing) and have to deal with a lot of emotional turmoil along the way.

But first, since this may well be the last time we get BJ Britt, we have some hilarious moments with him that really drives home that we’re missing a hilarious and sincere character in the main cast. Trip has some fantastic scenes with Daisy and Mack and is taking the whole idea of the world being wrong in stride, though he is disappointed that his other-world counterpart apparently has no game whatsoever.

It’s good to see there’s still something between Coulson and May as he encourages her to take a leap of faith and is rewarded on the other side with May admitting he’s cute. Awwww!

Less cute is Mack’s… departure? Is that what you’d class this as? It’s certainly emotional and understandable and while Mack staying in the Framework with his daughter is unsurprising, it’s a little hokey from a logistical standpoint. I mean, how long does he expect them to just leave him in there? Does he really think Yo-Yo is just going to let him stay there? Who would look after him and keep the Framework going? I guess they’ll explain it in the following episodes but Henry Simmon’s supposed final appearance is bittersweet to say the least.

As usual, Iain De Caestecker is killing it as both a cold-hearted HYDRA head and as the repentant real-world Fitz. This guy can act rings around everyone! Without Simmons there to support him, and Coulson not being that effective, his fragile mental state is easy prey for the now human AIDA/Ophelia who tearful reunites with him and TELEPORTS AWAY. The fuck!? When? How? What? Is her new body Inhuman? Is that tech-based? WHAT.

Questions need answers and we can only hope we get them when we return next week with… The Return.

“There can be no failure to a man who has not lost his courage, his character, his self respect, or his self-confidence. He is still a King.” – Orison Swett Marden
Heavy is the Head is essentially the second part of the season premiere, continuing all of the previous episodes plot threads while foreshadowing stuff we’ll see later.

The title of the episode refers to Coulson. He’s become Director of SHIELD and despite the tech at his disposal, we’ve already heard how he’s been run ragged. Between Hunter’s capture by Talbot and, as we find out, he’s been having episodes of rune drawing that he’s attempted to hold back, he’s different to the light-hearted guy we once knew. He still has a couple cute lines here and there and we even see him play with a holo-display (no doubt derived from Tony Stark’s tech) so we could see him slip back into his old self more or less depending on how the team is tested this season.

Making a surprise return is Raina, acting as an agent for Skye’s mysterious father. She’s after the obelisk and does indeed grab it for her employer, The Doctor. I’m not even kidding, Skye’s father (played by Kyle MacLachlan) is listed in the credits as “The Doctor”.

That’s pretty weird. Almost as weird as Raina being able to handle the obelisk without going full on Vesuvius victim and the runes even glow when she touches it, showing them to be the same the ones Coulson is drawing. The Doctor promises to show her what it means once she brings him Skye.

Creel plays second banana mostly because of the larger players for Hydra and The Doctor are trying to manipulate him. He ends up being bested by Coulson and handed over to Talbot in exchange for some leeway. Coulson backs up his confidence with some dick-swinging as he reveals both the Quinjet and a freshly refurbished Bus, now with added cloaking tech. Though he does lamp-shade the event by recommending they leave before the Bus runs out of fuel.

By far the outstanding portion of the episode for me was the emergence of the BROTP, MackFitz. After the heartbreaking reveal last week, it’s more understandable why the team is a little distant with Fitz but our little techie isn’t truly on his own as the new mechanic, Alphonso ‘Mack’ Mackenzie, becomes my personal hero by looking after the little guy. Mack calls him out for acting like a space-case at first but is soon helping him work through his mental stalling. Even HeadSimmons likes him! Mack and Fitz are on track to becoming the new science duo and I wholeheartedly approve.

A fantastic follow-up to the season premiere so hopefully the series can keep up this head of steam. Next week promises a real shake-up so I’ll catch you guys next week for Making Friends and Influencing People!

Already off to a strong start as we see the return of Hayley Atwell, Neal McDonough and Kenneth Choi (all reprising their roles from The First Avenger), probably setting the stage for the upcoming Agent Carter TV show. They raid a Hydra facility in 1945, procuring many ancient and alien artefacts (The Kree from T.A.H.I.T.I., anyone?) and start cataloguing them. This is a fantastic little scene; short, sweet and setting up many elements we’ll be seeing in the future.

When we see the team for the first time, they’re in their element. Skye, May, Trip and newcomer Hartley (played by the gorgeous Lucy Lawless) and her crew, in a sting operation on ex-SHIELD members trying to sell secrets. Unfortunately, the deal goes south when a Hyrda agent intercepts the info, taking several gunshots before leaping out of a 25ft window. This badass is Carl ‘Crusher’ Creel, better known as the Absorbing Man and current recruit for Hydra. Coulson brings the team in and we find out he’s being run ragged by his new responsibilities as Director of SHIELD. Most of the team barely sees him now and the family unit we’ve been following is kind of drifting. That’s the impression I got anyway.

We get introduced to a lot of new characters, Hartley and her two guys, Lance and Idaho and Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie. They definitely feel like a B-Team but they’re all pretty likeable. Not much to say about them at this moment.

Crusher Creel, despite having very little to say in the episode, is a pretty cool bad guy to watch and a good antagonist for SHIELD. His ability to absorb any material he touches is played with well by the effects team and none of his forms look silly, though the point in the episode where he become wood is a little weird, as he did it just to unwind, though I guess this was to play into his character that he’s obsessed with the metamorphosis.

We find out that Ward has been locked in the basement of SHIELD’s new base since the end of last season and time has not been kind. He’s unshaven, desheveled, the clear signs of suicide attempts present on his arms and head. He’s refused to speak to anyone other than Skye and now that the situation warrants it, their relationship becomes all too clear as they sit either side of a hi-tech forcefield cell. Ward’s attitude points towards a repentant man but screw that, I’m with Skye on this one. You can’t trust this guy and any redemption story he has better be drawn out and significant.

Fitz and Simmons are… a little different to how we left them. The trauma of Fitz’s near-death experience has affected severely and it’s just sad to see the once brilliant jokester reduced to a broken mumbler, constantly looking to his carer for the words he can’t find while the rest of the team looks at him with pity. He’s clearly lost something and his mind isn’t right but the presence of Simmons calms him and even makes him feel like he could get better. But he’s not. Because Simmons left months ago and everything we’ve seen has been Fitz talking to himself/the Simmons in his head. This reveal is truly heartbreaking and I got genuinely choked up by it. The sadness in his eyes hurts to watch as Iain De Caestecker’s performance gives the indication that he’s all too aware that Simmons is gone but can’t let her go.

The stinger for the episode is the Hydra informant we saw talking to Creel talking to a silhouetted man named Daniel Whitehall, who is revealed to be the Nazi commander we saw at the start of the episode! DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!

Shadows is an intensely entertaining and satisfying beginning to this season. It takes the lessons learned from the latter half of the first season and continues building this fantastic world and giving us plenty to chew on. What did you guys think? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll see you guys next week!

This has “pure Whedon shenanigans” written all over it!

Seriously, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear Joss penned this finale himself. No doubt this episode was written under the hanging sword of Damocles that is cancellation/non-renewal because it feels a tad rushed. That said, it was still a wonderfully intense, emotional and funny end to a series that had a very rough beginning. Luckily, with the news that the show has been picked up for a second season, we may be able to see more of what was great about this show.

Enough about the broad strokes though, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this season finale! With Garrett now hopped up on goofballs, the once affable villain has gone full bonkers. Paxton is clearly having a lot of fun in this episode as he hams up every line of dialogue. Garrett’s got everything he wanted and as the team rally against him with what resources they can scrounge together for an all-out assault, we catch up with Fitz and Simmons at the bottom of the sea.

This sequence is ridiculously dramatic. A hopeless situation that, despite their combined mental acuity, has the odds looking grim. They pull together to work out an escape plan but Fitz, knowing how dire this is and having been injured, gives Simmons the only working oxygen supply. Simmons refuses and Fitz finally lets it slip how he feels. He doesn’t even have to outright say that he loves her but he’ll show her with one defiant act. When they blow the hatch, Simmons still grabs Fitz and just manages to bring him to the surface. They’re still in the middle of the ocean however and Simmons outstretched hand is thankfully grabbed by Nick MFin’ Fury!

Samuel L Jackson returns to the show in more than a 2-minute cameo, actively helping the team in their darkest hour. SamJack’s performance is oozing with the kind of charisma he’s previously brought to the role and he’s even brought Coulson a present. HIS FUCKING PARTICLE CANNON FROM AVENGERS! YOOOOOOOOO! I applauded the return of this weapon, it’s so damn awesome.

The Ward situation wraps up nicely, with Ward getting his shit pushed in by Melinda May. It’s an amazingly entertaining fight that culminates May using a NAIL GUN. That’s brutal and I fucking LOVE IT.

Mike Peterson’s son is rescued by Skye, allowing him to turn on Garrett and, with the knowledge that his son is safe, begin to atone for his actions. Flowers abandons ships along with Ian Quinn. Garrett’s forces are subdued and Garrett himself carted off. UNTIL he breaks free of his containment and fully Deathloks up, only to have his future as a Season 2 villain cut short by Coulson vaporising him with the 0-8-4 weapon from 0-8-4. It’s a wonderfully subversive twist and it’s pure Whedon. It’s basically Mal kicking the henchman into Serenity’s engine in Firefly.

Coulson and Fury finally have it out over Coulson’s resurrection and points out that the Tahiti project was only meant for a fallen Avenger and the look on Coulson’s face when Fury says “Exactly.” is golden! The man who head-hunted the Avengers, the man who brought them all together and idolised them is considered an Avenger by the one other person he idolised. It’s beautiful and makes Fury’s next move all the more amazing. He makes Coulson the Director of SHIELD and tells him to build it back up using the “toolbox”. Coulson and his team arrive at their new base of operations that is manned solely by Billy Koenig, the twin brother of Eric! It’s a shocking twist and I can’t help but feel there’s something sinister going on there, especially with Patton Oswalt repeating the same exact speech he gave in Eric’s first appearance. The team poses for sweet hero shot and that’s a wrap!

In the pre-epilogue, Flowers arrives at a mysterious room and tells it’s sole occupant that she’s knows about his daughter, as a bloody hand lifts a picture of Skye. MYSTERIES!

In the epilogue proper, a sleeping Coulson awakens and wanders into a storage area. He looks at the mad scribblings Garrett had done earlier and proceeds to mark them into a large wall, seemingly in a trance. These hieroglyphs, for lack of a better word, are the same as the ones we saw way back in Eye-Spy. SPOOKY!

I loved every second of this finale! It had everything I wanted out of this show and more, it presented us with plenty more story potential and, given the high quality of the post half-dozen episodes, hope that the second season will bring in more viewers. I can’t wait for both that and the announced Agent Carter series too! Tell me what you thought about the finale and the show as a whole in the comments below!

Tonight the role of Leo Fitz will be played by a chocolate labrador. We all knew this was coming, the history between Garrett and Ward is revealed while the team stages a daring raid on Cybertek!

Ward’s broken childhood results in his incarceration and is sprung by Garrett, who is actually a really abusive father figure. This still doesn’t redeem Ward. It explains a lot but certainly doesn’t make him any less of a scumbag.

The team get some brand new gadgets thanks to Trip’s grandfather in the form of a caseload of Howling Commando spy gear. Coulson and Fitz geek out adorablely and even being old as hell, the stuff still helps them infiltrate Cybertek to find connections between them and Garrett. What they really find is that Garrett is the original Deathlok subject, hence that metal plate from a couple episodes ago.

Raina and Ward discuss Skye’s biology (Not in that way!) and the story of her origin. The town where they found her was attacked by monsters but her parents weren’t among the victims, they were the monsters. Ooooooh! She’s probably alien.

Fitz and Simmons are captured and brought aboard the Bus while Coulson, Skye, May and Trip are checking out Garrett’s, now empty, secret Hydra base. Fitz sets off an EMP that disables Garrett, spitting bile and taunting him after he’s done it. Garrett orders Ward to kill them and a chase through the plane results in Fitz and Simmons trapped in a sealed room as they are ejected from the plane into the ocean. Some folks have used this (and the accompanying scene of Ward not shooting the cuddly dog) as proof that he’s still a good guy underneath. Nope, dumping them into the ocean in a sinking metal coffin instead of shooting them makes him a coward. At least if he had straight up shot them, I’d respect his convictions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team find the Hydra base mostly abandoned until they see lights in the darkness, the Asgardian Beserker Staff and several Centipede Soldiers. Ruh-roh!
Garrett is injected with a freshly replicated GH325 and is revitalised (after a quick Extremis burn up). This will mean trouble for our friends that survive! The stinger is Ian Quinn trying to sell super soldiers to the American government. Yawn.

Just a quick review because I can’t say more than the penultimate episode is awesome and I can’t wait for the season finale next week!

You keep digging, you’ll eventually find answers.

Nothing Personal starts out strong as we get Cobie Smulders return as Maria Hill, seemingly attending similar hearings as Black Widow at the end of The Winter Soldier. Cobie is a welcome sight, as her performance is spot on. Throughout the episode, Cobie brings her A-Game, effortlessly being the most Whedon-esque character in any given scene. A casual name-drop of Man-Thing later and Maria comes face-to-face with May and, again, two very strong performances.

Tension is thick in the A Plot as Skye and Ward are heading towards the location Skye needs to decrypt the data drive. Skye, fully aware of Ward’s deception, acts FAR too cagey not to tip off a supposed specialist like Ward watching her but they do point it out a little later on, so at least they address it. The over-hanging dread in these scenes are like watching an abusive relationship play out.

And that’s kind of the point. Ward is a psychopath. All of his actions to date have been all about lying and killing. He kills and injures several Police officers in this episode alone and then has the gall to tell Skye that his love for her is real. She rejects him in disgust and rightly so. I know I bang on about it but Ward doesn’t deserve redemption, he’s too far gone and I know someone is going to point at the scene where Skye finally gives up the information after Deathlok stops Ward’s heart. I don’t think that was her love for him, that was basic human decency. Just like Mike said: “Yes, he’s a murderer. Are you?” She’s been betrayed, kidnapped, hurt, and almost killed but she still values a human life, any human life, more than vengeance.

Meanwhile, in the B Plot, the rest of the team discover Ward’s betrayal and are ready to head after them when General Talbot shows up at Providence, led there by Maria Hill. She led him there to hopefully get Coulson to join the private sector but Coulson manages to talk her round and soon her and the team are heading off. Talbot (played by Adrian Pasdar) is the perfect gung-ho military blowhard, fitting for someone who worked with Thunderbolt Ross.

Coulson manages to John McClane himself onto the Bus after a distraction from Hill. He rescues Skye, barely escaping Deathlok by driving Lola out of the back of the plane. It’s great to see the old girl in action. The team bunker down in a Motel 6 and May returns, having literally dig up the secret behind project TAHITI.

I don’t want to spoil it because it is such an amazing reveal but it’s bloody chilling and, in perfect Whedon fashion, topped off with a laugh.

Two episodes to go and things don’t show any sign of getting brighter or easier for our team. I’ll see you all next week for Rag Tag.

Nooooo, not the comic relief!

Tensions were riding super-high last week and I was fully prepared for this week to be less intense and I was correct. The tension in this episode, following the revelation and return to the fold of Hydra double-agent Ward, is much more subdued as Ward is left to skulk around the secret base while the rest of the team is off hunting a Fridge escapee and Coulson’s ex-girlfriend.

Amy Acker guest stars this week as Coulson’s cellist love interest that was mentioned in Avengers. Now, I’m going to let you in on something, dear viewers. In the lead up to this episode, I was discussing who the cellist is, the actress and how she’d appeared in the pilot with TV buddy (I have one of those, don’t judge me.) My friend was throwing out theories to what this all meant and when it came to the episode, I had a stunning realisation that warranted a pausing of our [DVR’d] viewing. In a bizarre Crisis on Infinite Whedon-Earths, my brain had transplanted Amy Acker’s scientist character from Cabin in the Woods and put her into the pilot of Agents of SHIELD. Why? Best I can figure is because Ron Glass was in the episode, an alum from ANOTHER Whedon project. I am IMMENSELY stupid sometimes.

Anyways, the team (Coulson, Triplett, Fitz and Simmons) head off to save Audrey Nathan (Acker) from a super-powered stalker by the name of Marcus Daniels, aka Blackout. I think I saw this villain once in a big event book but I know nothing about the character other than what is exposited in this episode. Mainly that his powers are drawn from the Darkforce (Which I DO know as the source of power for Darkhawk and Darkstar. Much dark. Very force. Meow.) He shoots thick ropey strands of darkness and can drain the life out of humans with a touch, so yeah, pretty big deal. He sees Audrey as his Only Light in the Darkness which is a nice title reference so he stalk her upon his escape.

Audrey is played perfectly, as both frightened victim and staunch defender of SHIELD. Her revelation of a past relationship with Coulson shocks the team but none reveal his rebirth to her. Coulson has his reasons for not doing so himself and I agree with his mentality but it’s still pretty awesome to go full-on Ghostbusters on Blackout with a gamma flashlight and reassure a mostly unconcious Audrey before she wakes up.

Meanwhile, in the Bunker! May quits the team, narrowly missing Ward’s attempted assassination. Koening gets garroted by Ward and the show loses Patton Oswalt. Boo-urns! He was a great character! This leaves only Skye and Ward alone in the bunker and I could hear the moistening of a thousand SkyeWard shippers from here. Again, I would like to point out that this motherfucker has killed dozens of people, even people we actually knew! Fancying Skye does not a road to redemption make. Thankfully, Skye realises Ward is a double-agent so that should put a stop to THAT nonsense. Hats off to Chloe Bennett for her amazing acting during her later scenes. She pulls a Romanoff and manages to convince Ward that all is well but I feel she might have left something for the team to help her.

Stinger for this week is a bad-ass May hiking all the way to a highway near Ontario before her transport arrives. She called her mum! That’s hilarious and sweet on so many levels. Her mum appears to have been apart of some other government agency (Possibly a Chinese equivalent of SHIELD?) and is a pretty sweet old lady. I really liked this scene, it added some much needed levity.

Overall, another fantastic episode leading into the finale in just THREE WEEKS TIME! I’ll see you guys next week!

“Hydra? I thought you guys broke up!”
“That is what we wanted you to think!”
“Out of the shadows. Into the light.” is a fitting tagline to Turn, Turn, Turn as more mysteries are revealed and this episode happens concurrently with the event in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So SPOILERS are heavy in this episode and it just doesn’t care if you’ve seen Winter Soldier or not.

The team are still trying to make sense of May’s actions as Garrett comes under attack from SHIELD UAV drones. They’re on a collision course with The Hub and tensions are running high as they find out who has been pulling the strings all this time. Hydra has infiltrated SHIELD at all levels and is making a power play for SHIELD’s assets.

Everyone is on top form in this episode, even more so than usual. The interpersonal relationships are stretched thin as Phil learns how deeply May’s betrayal runs, despite how much she personally trusts and cares for Coulson. She’s been reporting on him for Fury and was even responsible for assembling the team in a way. Coulson’s world is shattered even more as the man who has had his back when he’s been going rogue is revealed to be the Clairvoyant. John Garrett is the Clairvoyant and Bill Paxton switches between affable buddy to menacing mastermind beautifully. I think the other stand out performance for me was Iain De Caestecker as Fitz. He’s not combat material, he’s emotionally compromised and even facing imminent death, tears streaming down his face, he still has the brass cajones to tell Garrett to go fuck himself. Mucho respect.

But this next bit is for the Tumblr folks, specifically the SkyeWard shippers. YOU JUST GOT YOUR SHIT PUSHED IN, DWEEBS! Haha, seriously, this is classic Whedon shenanigans. Ward and Skye have a great moment and even share a kiss and then Ward goes and betrays the team for Garrett! He straight up murders three SHIELD agents (including Victoria Hand) as they transport Garrett to The Fridge. Gotta admit that Brett Dalton’s performance never gave anything away until the last possible second so kudos to him. I do love that he’s already turned heel on his twitter account too, just to add fuel to the speculation fire! This is something I haven’t mentioned up to this point but the cast has an absolute blast live-tweeting along with the show.

Turn, Turn, Turn is easily the highlight of the season. Hell, if this was the season finale, I’d be thoroughly satisfied but we still have more to come! In the fallout of SHIELD’s fragmentation, the team struggles to survive and encounter both new allies and new enemies. I’ll see you all next week for Providence!

Because it’s ladies’ night and the feelings’ right!Yes Men has a pretty solid premise. Lady Sif enlists the help of the Team to chase down an escaped Asgardian convict with the power to beguile men but it plays out exactly as you’d expect and it’s more the cast and the subplots that carry the episode.

First up, LADY SIF!

Awww, yeeeeeeah! Jaimie Alexander reprises her Thor role in this episode and she’s clearly a highlight. Asgardians interacting with humans always makes for great entertainment and while there is plenty of ass-kickings to hand out, Jaimie also brings her sly sense of humour and Jaimie looks like she’s having fun in the role again. Her reaction to a now living Son of Coul is understandable and has some words with her human counterpart, Melinda May. In the final showdown with Lorelei (played by Elena Satine), as she’s being taunted about her former lover falling under Lorelei’s sway, she thinks better of herself and slaps on the Asgardian brass cone of shame and delivers one of my favourite lines of the episode.

Lorelei is the stockest of stock villains. Don’t get me wrong, Elena Satine plays it to the best of her ability but the character is the most generic super-powered female character you could have. What’s really interesting are the events AROUND her. She escaped during the Dark Elf invasion of Asgard in The Dark World and her capture was ordered by “Odin”. Now, as we all know from the end of Thor: The Dark World, Odin has been replaced by Loki so to have Loki want Lorelei brought back alive could tie into the next Thor movie. From the comics, Lorelei is the sister of Amora The Enchantress and was a lover of Loki’s at one point so could we see a power couple as the main antagonists of Thor 3? Mayhaps…

Coulson/Skye Watch!

Skye is recovering well, with the entire team doting on her, especially Simmons who wants to test her blood constantly for answers to the GH325 but its denied by Coulson’s refusal to let the blood go to SHIELD Medical. Coulson is defensive about the subject and wants it dealt with “in house” before doing anything else. He calls in a favour from Agent Sitwell and is clearly on the hunt for Fury and as a cheeky nod, Sitwell asks “How was Tahiti?” and Coulson simply answers “It sucked!”. He asks Lady Sif about any alien species she has encountered that are blue (after finding one last episode) and she name drops a fair few species, even some I’m not entirely familiar with but Jaimie puts a strange emphasis on “Kree” so I’m still considering that the odds-on favourite. Coulson eventually reveals the source of GH325 to Skye and she’s unfazed byt the idea, much to his bafflement. He’s clearly freaking out and she’s non-plussed. He’s had the serum inside him for months(?) and is fine and however it will interact with her nature as a 0-8-4 is still a better alternative to death. Coulson decalres that the two of them will be going renegade to get answers from Fury and to, in Coulson’s words, “make him pay.”

In the stinger, it’s revealed that someone is listening in on the above conversation and it’s none other than Agent May, who reports into someone that “Coulson knows.” YOOOOOOO! Any sympathy you may have earned this episode is out the fucking airlock now, May! BETRAYAL!

A pretty good episode all in all, with a great guest star and some more drive into this mysterious “Uprising” event that is coming. Can’t wait to see how this all plays out!
