Those last few minutes were so gleeful and just elevated the whole thing to such a great level that I kinda forgot about the rest of the show. I really feel like the show’s premise by necessity as an origin story for the team, in order to tell Coulson’s story, kinda gets in the way of anything actually developing as it’s just spinning wheels until everything clicks together and these people actually get to know each other, which is part of why I both liked and disliked this episode, because it got a lot more into setting up an actual group dynamic, but then (spoilers) totally undermines that and keeps it still spinning with the end revelation.

I definitely feel like when this catches gear and starts working as a show it’ll be great, it’s just not quite there yet. Anyway, good review! Looking forward to keeping checking in here along with the show each week (now you have to keep doing it)
