Well, no matter how geeky you are, there is always someone geekier. I bow to greater Batman knowledge. I was more of a Marvel guy, as DC SUCKED for many a year. They have great characters, but while I was a kid they had no idea what to do with them. As for Paul Dini, his run on Detective was the first time I ever had a must read Batman title. He is an amazing writer and gets Batman in a way that many don't.

Haha, well I know I'm a complete Marvel fanboy but JJ is into DC. I guess I'm a bad influence on him when we start chatting though.
I'm not surprised Dini made Hush better. Dini is a great writer who really should have written more Batman comics. But at least he left his mark on the Animated Series.
Fun fact about the Loeb thing.

Goddamn, you two, and your lack of proper Batman knowledge. Doesn't help that you two consummate Spider-Man fanboys had to sully one of DC's premier characters with all your Marvel talk. God, I want more good DC films... I never liked Hush either as a book, but better stories have been written with Thomas Elliott as a character -- Paul Dini's "Heart of Hush" is particularly good -- that I like him a lot as a villain tailor made for Batman. He deserves more attention. Some "well, actually" side notes: Loeb was the name of the police commissioner in Miller's Year One; that Jeph Loeb would go on to write The Long Halloween is pure coincidence. Also, the one fat corrupt cop is playing Flass, another character from Year One.
