The Drive In Of Doom-Captain America

Hello and welcome back to DOOM!’s exploration of the Comic Book film genre hosted by Aaron Fever and JJ Hawkins.

This month we We take a look at Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger. Once again, both hosts love this film, and well they should! Hell, when I was a kid, they tried to pass this off as the Captain!
Oh, TV movies, can you do anything right? Dig that clear shield, Cap!

Then years later this one was actually advertised in theaters…

A step up, but still encased in rubber, and the ears were fake. FAKE EARS!

Now we have this,

I for one could not be happier for not only do we get a great villain

But we also get to see Cap in WWII, like we should have all along. No stupid 70’s surfer dudes, no unreleased nightmares, just the Cap movie we always wanted!

Hey guys, fantastic commentary. I think out of all the original Avengers movies, this is my firm favourite. Made me feel patriotic and I’m not even from the US!

Also, The Reb Brown Cap movies (Yeah, I know his name, he’s the greatest action star that nobody knows about) are laughably awesome, though I’ve never seen the other one. Did you know the RebCap fights Christopher Lee in the second one? You do now!
