Mars Needs Podcasts #368- A Potted Plant?!?

JJ and his amazing friend Jason talk about some real idiots this week. Between America’s (lack of) leadership and some of the humorless masses out there…whew. What the actual fuck, right? Also they tell some amusing anecdotes as well as Jason kinda gives a spoiler free review of a new movie that is not at all an 80’s video game.

Another very good episode! Some stuff with the finer points on power dynamics in relationships especially with the office of the Presidency I’d maybe disagree on, but for the most part I get where you were coming from, and I mean I’m not exactly the person to be commenting on that kinda stuff anyway. I’m glad the conversation is being had and stuff and I hope it leads to more change and less men thinking it’s okay to do that gross stuff! I’d also like to add on to the Jason appreciation, it is a good time for podcasting! Some really funny stuff this episode. Oh, and since Guy Ritchie films were brought up, I do have fond memories of Man from Uncle but that’s ’cause I saw it with my cousin and a friend in Canada, but have you seen Revolver? I think that’s what it’s called anyway, it’s not a -great- film but it does probably have the most substance of any of his films, since it features a bit with Jason Statham on top of a skyscraper trying to come to terms with his relationship with his own mind, and is pretty heavily about Ritchie’s approach to philosophy at the time. Then there’s also a weird bit where it goes into computer cartoon graphics or something because something something Tarantino but I do remember there being something there. Anyway, yeah, hope all okay!

Oh, I also just finished listening to the last bit, and I think that the Punisher, well, the Netflix Punisher anyway, I feel like they’d -enjoy- the Metallica song? But he probably listens to some kind of weird fast instrumental electronic type music to keep feeling distant but all psyched up, right? This is my way too overanalysing late night brain. Like if he was going to listen to Metallica it’d be that album with Lou Reed. But, anyway, yeah, very enjoyable episode, I’ve been liking this whole run lately!
