Mint in Box: LEGO Minifigure Collection Review pt 2

Hey, guys! Sorry for the absence but I’m back with more LEGO Minifigures to review! Just like last time, these are from a bunch of older series (later this week, I’ll do some brand Series 7 figures) so let’s crack on!

Series 4: Mad Scientist

“Ah hah hah hah! They called me mad at the university…and they were right!”

This Dr Insano-looking dude only made it into my collection because Editor Shane was bigging him up and having no will of my own, I collapsed under peer pressure and bought one. I’ve never encountered a rubber hair piece on a LEGO figure so this is a weird one for me, it fits okay, just not as well as a solid plastic piece would. He comes with a little beaker full of science. 7 out of 10

Series 6: Leprechaun

“Sure, I’ll show you where my gold is hidden! Just close your eyes and spin around three times…”

Hoit, hoit, hoit! Unlike many of the other minifigures I’ve amassed, I didn’t actually go looking for this wee fella. I was doing some shopping and wanted something to give me that purchase rush so I picked a random bag of Series 6 and got him. He’s okay, with his tiny legs and pot o’ gold. Kind of a middle of the road figure, this one. Hoit, hoit, hoit. 5 out of 10

Series 6: Clockwork Robot

“Beep-boop! Who-wants-a-hug?

He’s a toy of a toy robot. He’s so delicious meta. Tick-Tock (Fiver to whoever gets that reference) here fills in two little niches in my collection; Being a retro-looking robo to do my Mad Scientist’s bidding and a robot for my Lizard Man to fight. He’s fun and quirky but kinda bland too. 6 out of 10

Series 5: Lizard Man

“Stomp stomp stomp! Flee, tiny citizens! Flee!”

This is my absolute favourite of Series 5 and thus, the only one I own from that Series. He’s a little Godzilla/Reptar man! He’s adorable! He can fight Clockwork Robots and Gorilla Suit Guys! Need I say more? He’s a must-have in any minifigure collectors collection! 9 out of 10!

The LEGO minifigures are available in most place for around £2 so are perfect pocket-money toys or a fun little novelty to put on your desk! Check in later in the week for more!
